Resident Visual Artists Exhibit 2017

Where: Howard County Arts Council – 8510 High Ridge Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21043
What: Gallery exhibit featuring recent work created by artists who have studios at the Howard County Center for the Arts. The artists work in a variety of media including oil and watercolor painting, drawing, fiber art, and glass bead-making
Summertime Kick Off!
When: June 23, 2017 4-9PM
Where: Old Ellicott City
What: Live music by the water! There will be tapestries, glow sticks, incense, and hacky sacks for sale. You are encouraged to bring hula hoops, blankets, sketchbooks, acoustic guitars, hand drums, or any other instrument!
Columbia Big Band at the Lakefront
When: June 23, 2017 at 7PM
Where: Columbia Lakefront Stage – 10275 Wincopin Cir, Columbia, MD 21044
What: Music and dancing in the heart of beautiful downtown Columbia. Join the Columbia Bog Band for the Columbia 50th Birthday Celebration Swing Night!
We Walk for Wellness
When: June 24, 2017 at 8:45AM
Where: North Laurel Community Center – 9411 Whiskey Bottom Rd, Laurel, MD 20723
What: The walking program will consist of a warm-up, guided group walking and cool-down, including light aerobic activity such as jumping jacks, marching in place and arm circles. Information about nutrition and exercise will also be available.
Nite Bite Fishing
When: June 24, 2017 6PM-12AM
Where: Centennial Park
What: Unique opportunity to fish the lake after hours! Bring your own fishing pole, bait, tackle, bug repellent, flashlight or lantern, chair, or boat
When: June 25, 2017 12:30-2:30PM
Cost: $6/person or $25/family (up to 5 people)
Where: Robinson Nature Center
What: Celebrate summer by cooling off at the nature center with an afternoon at the Middle Patuxent River! Bring your own picnic and join a Robinson Naturalist at the river for lunch followed by fun, family-friendly river games.
