Montgomery County shows improvement on all critical market indicators – sales volume, number of homes sold, average sale price, and Days on Market – from last January.
Sales volume is up 16.4% from last year, with 578 homes selling this past month, an increase of 10.9% over last January, a marked improvement and more of an increase than seen in neighboring Howard County.
In addition, the average home sold for nearly 5% more (at $474,158) and in less time – only 57 days on the market, a drop of 17.4% in time on the market! While price improvement at this pace is probably unsustainable, it’s an indicator that Montgomery has come into 2014 strong. We’ll keep an eye on where it heads!
