Our great customers never cease to amaze us with their generous hearts. We asked attendees of our recent customer appreciation crab feast to consider bringing a donation to support Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center of Howard County. We’re overwhelmed with the great response and wanted to share a letter where Grassroots thanks The Kittleman Group for their continued support.

At the end of our crab feast event, we filled an SUV full of toiletries, back to school supplies, cleaning supplies, linens, non-perishable food and numerous gift cards for the center. In addition, guests donated $938.50 in cash or checks. Shelter residents also enjoyed the summer tastes of Maryland with a special treat that night. The Kittleman Group sent steamed hard shell crabs and hot dogs from the picnic for them to enjoy.

Through our relationship with Grassroots Board President Mary Lasky, our crab feast attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from Mary how their donations will help members of our local community. Grassroots serves Howard County and other nearby communities as an emergency, 24-hour phone and walk-in crisis and educational resource center. The center serves members of the community who are experiencing a crisis and are seeking help, crisis intervention counseling, and sometimes just a roof.

As temperatures drop, and we enter the season of giving and service projects, please join The Kittleman Group as we continue to support Grassroots. The links below shares a list of suggested items to donate and volunteer opportunities with the shelter. Thank you!

This doesn't even begin to capture the generosity of the event's guests. By the end of the evening, donations of toiletries, back to school supplies, cleaning supplies and non-perishable food items filled the back of an SUV.
